Designer

Position Title: Designer

Summary:

Provides technical expertise to owners, contractors, architects, and other client types. Implement evaluations, design, construction administration, and inspection of projects by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare plans and detail drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, life cycle costs, and bidding requirements for repair, replacement, or maintenance of existing or contemplated systems.
  • Acts as BTA point of contact for technical issues raised by manufacturing, design, site management, and construction firms.
  • Conducts site audits to verify field reports and ensure acceptable construction and quality management performance.
  • Understand and enter data into BTA’s OASYS system while performing surveys.
  • Updates industry knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Must be detail-oriented & self-starter and have competency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Capacity to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in architecture, engineering, or construction management or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

RRC and/or RRO preferred but not required
