Position Title: Field Specialist
Summary
The Field Specialist performs surveys that are objective, visual inventories of various related data points. During construction, responsibilities include on-site management of contractors to ensure compliance with contract documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Field review CAD Drawings.
- Identify, classify, measure composition data and various defect observations.
- Enter data into laptop computers while performing surveys
- During Construction, daily updates contractor schedule, percent complete reports, and quality control records
- Ensures and confirms the contractors compliance to safety, quality, and schedule.
- Maintains continuous communication with contractor, client’s site personnel, and BTA’s supervisor.
- Organize, compile and track large amounts of paperwork and electronic files.
Qualifications
Successful candidates must be detail-oriented and self-starters. Competency with Microsoft Office products is required. Travel throughout the continental U.S. will be required and field trips can extend to four (4) months. Conjugal visits are allowed every three weeks. The Candidate must be able to perform work for 8-hours or more per day where daily temperatures could exceed predicted highs.
Education
Associate’s degree and at least three years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
OSHA 10 hour safety course and RRO certification is preferred but not required.
