One of the top 10 largest school districts in the country was seeking a way to better manage its roof inventory and effectively plan, direct and oversee its functions pertaining to the repair, replacement and maintenance of its roofs. BTA was selected as the most qualified provider to perform the roof assessment services and achieve the stated goals of the project.

BTA performed roof assessments on over 200 schools in one school district comprising over 21 million square feet of roofing. This data was analyzed by the RoofSuite® roof asset management software system to identify the best approach to extend the life of the school district’s roofing inventory. The results of this analysis presented the school district with an opportunity to invest $1.5 million into strategic repairs for its roof inventory to achieve an increase in the average roof life span equivalent to over $8.7 million dollars in value. The graph below illustrates how this school district will have fewer roofs that will need to be replaced in the next three years – lowering their capital requirements during this time by $3.9 million.
